Prominent Oakland/Texas/Jamaica photographer Lenworth "Joonbug" McIntosh wasn't always into film. Joon has been sketching, cartooning, muraling and logo designing for many years, and he's back big time for his solo show in San Francisco, Mass Inc..
"Mass Inc. is a concept show surrounding mass incarceration here in America. Years of common sense and what the fucks were confirmed in my reading, The New Jim Crow by #MichelleAlexander. I’m excited to show off some drawings for a change...
Friday, February 16th // 6P-9P // 1000 Howard St. San Francisco.
Exhibit ends March 16th"
Accompanying his ink & paint will be risograph prints of his favorite drawings included in the show. See ya on the 16th!
We’re proud to annouce a gorgeous new poetry chapbook by our friend Addison Bale: “Snakeskins”! Addison is an artist and poet from New York City. This collection of four parts touches on life, love, and existence. The words are complemented by striking imagery from Brooklyn based artist Julia Blasius. The release show at Molasses Books, Brooklyn was a blast and if you didn't get a copy there you can find one online here.
See you soon, NY
